Increased Precautions We're Taking in Response to COVID-19

LAST UPDATED ON 12/17/2020

As updates on the impact of the coronavirus continue to be released, we want to take a moment to inform you of the heightened preventative measures we have put in place at Sandhills Comprehensive Treatment Centers to keep our patients, their families, and our employees safe. All efforts are guided by and in adherence to the recommendations distributed by the CDC.

In adherence to the social distancing recommendations provided by the CDC, we have implemented strict protocols at our clinic to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.

  • Patients who have active symptoms of illness or a fever of 100 degrees or higher must call ahead to arrange after-hours dosing.
  • The number of people allowed inside the building at any given time is restricted based on county, state, and federal guidelines.
  • The number of people waiting in line is restricted based on county, state, and federal guidelines, and those present must maintain a minimum distance of six feet from one another.
  • To maintain line restrictions, patients are asked to wait in their cars until direction is given.

For specific information regarding these changes and limitations, please contact us directly.

Please note that for the safety of our patients, their families, and our staff, on-site visitation is no longer allowed at Sandhills Comprehensive Treatment Centers.

  • This restriction has been implemented in compliance with updated corporate and state regulations to further reduce the risks associated with COVID-19.
  • Alternate methods of communication for other services may be offered when deemed clinically appropriate.

For specific information regarding these changes and limitations, please contact us directly.

CDC updates are consistently monitored to ensure that all guidance followed is based on the latest information released.

  • All staff has received infection prevention and control training.
  • Thorough disinfection and hygiene guidance has been provided.
  • Patient care supplies such as masks and hand sanitizer are being monitored and utilized.
  • Temperature and symptom screening protocols are in place for all patients and staff.
  • Cleaning service contracts have been reviewed for additional support.
  • Personal protective equipment items are routinely checked to ensure proper and secure storage.

  • We are in communication with our local health department to receive important community-specific updates.

The safety of our patients, their families, and our employees is our top priority, and we will remain steadfast in our efforts to reduce any risk associated with COVID-19.

The CDC has provided a list of easy tips that can help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

I was wasting my life away before coming here. Since I started treatment I have been so much more productive. In addition to starting a new job, I have been making time to re-connect with my family. They are really proud of the changes I've made.

Support, Encouragement, & Comfort

Thank you for your interest in the Sandhills Comprehensive Treatment Centers. If you or someone you care about is struggling with an addiction to heroin, morphine, prescription pain medication, or another opioid, we have the solutions that you have been searching for. At Sandhills Comprehensive Treatment Centers, we understand the unique challenges faced by individuals who have become dependent upon opioids, and we have developed programs that are designed not only to alleviate symptoms, but also to address the underlying and/or co-occurring issues that may have contributed to the development of the substance use disorder.

Realizing Hope

Sandhills Comprehensive Treatment Centers provide effective individualized care for adult men and women, aged 18 and older, who have been dependent upon opioids for at least one year. At our three locations, the members of our medical staff are able to prescribe methadone, Subutex, Suboxone, or Vivitrol to help patients stop using opioids without experiencing powerful drug cravings or severe withdrawal symptoms. With their bodies and minds no longer weakened by the continued abuse of opioids, patients have the strength and focus to participate in therapeutic activities that will help them to identify and address the many ways that their lives have been affected by addiction. Working with dedicated counselors who have specific expertise in this area, our patients learn how to make the changes in their lives that will promote lasting recovery and will allow them to pursue much more productive and satisfying futures.

Individualized Treatment

If your life has been impacted by opioid addiction, then you know how devastating this experience can be. What you may not realize, though, is that it does not have to be this way. With the proper professional assistance, the pain and hopelessness of opioid addiction can be replaced by the promise of a drug-free future. When you enroll in treatment at Sandhills Comprehensive Treatment Centers, you take an important first step toward a lifetime of brighter and more promising tomorrows.

Adults who meet certain financial and residential criteria may be eligible to receive free treatment at Pinehurst CTC through June 30, 2021.
